Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 September 2026

RSMotoCons ("we", "us", "our") provides dealership operations consulting and software tools. We take the privacy of our clients, their customers, and visitors to rsmotocons.com seriously. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we hold it, and your rights — consistent with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

1. What we collect

  • Contact details you give us through the enquiry form on this website: your name, email address, the department you're interested in, and your message.
  • Business information you share with us when we discuss your dealership's operations.
  • Technical data processed automatically when the site is served — such as IP address and browser type — by our hosting provider (Cloudflare) for security and performance purposes. We do not run advertising trackers or sell analytics data.

We do not collect sensitive information through this website, and we ask that you do not submit it via the enquiry form.

2. Why we collect it

  • To respond to your enquiry and provide the consulting or software services you request.
  • To operate, secure, and improve this website.
  • To send you updates about our services — only if you explicitly opt in. Marketing consent is never pre-ticked, and every message we send includes a working unsubscribe option, consistent with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).

3. How we hold and protect it

  • This website is served over HTTPS with modern security headers (HSTS, a strict Content Security Policy, clickjacking and MIME-sniffing protections).
  • Our hosting and content delivery is provided by Cloudflare, with redundancy across a global network.
  • Within our dealer management platform, highly sensitive personal information (such as driver's licence numbers collected by dealerships for test drives) is encrypted at rest with AES-256, access is role-restricted, and staff access to personal information is recorded in an immutable audit log — supporting our readiness under the Notifiable Data Breaches (NDB) scheme.
  • We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, then delete or de-identify it.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run our business (such as hosting and email providers), each bound to protect it, or where the law requires disclosure. Where a dealership uses our platform, that dealership remains responsible for the customer relationships it manages; we process that information on the dealership's behalf under our agreement with them.

5. Overseas disclosure

Our infrastructure providers (including Cloudflare) may process data in data centres outside Australia. Where that occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure the information is handled consistently with the APPs.

6. Access, correction, and complaints

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing info@rsmotocons.com. We respond within a reasonable period. If you believe we have mishandled your information, contact us first and we will investigate. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

7. Cookies

This website does not set marketing or advertising cookies. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary cookies for security (such as bot mitigation). Our platform products use session cookies solely to keep authorised users signed in.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version, and material changes will be noted on this page.
